What is Environmental Label?
The environmental label is a symbol showing voluntary environmental performance certificate aiming to provide correct, not-misleading and scientific information to consumers as well as promote products and services having low environmental impact in periods ranging from raw material to disposal of a product/service.
Objective of Environmental Label
The main purpose of the Environmental Labelling scheme is to support sustainable production and consumption patterns by encouraging organizations, which have been carrying out their operations in a sensitive manner to the environment. The Eco Label considers areas such as low carbon emission, waste prevention, energy efficiency, water-saving, the use of non-hazardous chemicals.
