Environmental label criteria for touristic accommodation service group , developed in coordination with TÜBİTAK MAM and our Ministry in line with By-Law on Environmental Label within the scope of harmonization studies for 66/2010/EC Ecolabel Directive, was published.
The service providers fulfilling 22 obligatory criteria in energy, water, waste, environmentally friendly transport, consumption monitoring, customer information on environmental measures and additionally collecting 20 points for voluntary criteria in their services can be an environmental label licensee.
The criteria will be valid for five years and may be revised if the Environmental Label Board considered as necessary. The validity period for the criteria may be extended in line with the positive assessment of the Board.
