New Product and Service Group Identification Process started.

In accordance with the By-Law  on Environmental Labelling, which is promulgated in the Official Gazette issue No 30570 dated October 19, 2018 and thereby came into force, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey is responsible for the diffusion of Turkish Environment Label System. Within the framework of Turkish Environment Label System which is conducted according to TS EN ISO 14024 - Type I Environmental labelling - principles and procedures standards, our ministry requests views from stakeholders to identify new product and service groups. 
As a result of the applications made in accordance with the environmental criteria announced in May 13, 2019 on ceramic tiles, textiles and tissue paper; enterprises whose application is found eligible and suited to the criteria have become entitled to use the environmental label symbol on products and services.
In addition of allowing consumers to be informed of the environmental performance of products and services, Turkish Environment Label System also enables business organizations to increase their brand value by authenticating the importance they attach to the environment.
