Establishment the Basis of Environmental Label Project
In accordance with the protocol signed between our Ministry and the Middle East Technical University, the opening meeting of the "Strengthening the Turkish Environmental Labeling System (TELS) Project" was held on July 11, 2025, at the Environment and Climate Hall of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in Ankara.
Within the scope of the project, environmental labeling criteria will be determined for each sector through life cycle applications in 4 (four) product groups (Footwear and Leather Products, Wood Surface Coatings, Ceramic Sanitary Products, and Toys). Furthermore, the project aims to support sustainable production and consumption practices by revising the "Criteria for Tourist Accommodation Services".
The meeting was attended by representatives from public institutions/organizations, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
